LC200N/Z-FiNiT steel is a nitrogen based steel that has extreme corrosion resistance. An exceptional steel that has the ability to be hardened at 59 HRC. It is the steel of choice for equipment requiring high dynamic loads in corrosive environments. NASA uses it specifically for ball bearings in their aerospace applications. When used for a knife blade you have impressive corrosion resistance properties with a balance of toughness and edge holding ability.
